Welcome to Bay Path’s Early College High School page! We are excited to offer several college courses at low cost to students and families. Those who successfully complete each course will establish a college transcript and earn college credits.

Introduction to Aviation Science

COST: $495. Per student

Two college credits through Adams State University.

$200. Bay Path Foundation Scholarship available—non-need based, apply here:Students pay the full fee for the course. Upon successful completion of the course and approved application for the scholarship, students will be reimbursed $200, making the total cost $295.

Accuplacer

Should you wish to take English 101 or Psychology 101 through Quinsigamond Community College, you are required to take the Accuplacer test. This test measures appropriate placement into a given course and is not a pass/fail or graded assessment. Students may take this test more than once.

Testing will be held at 7:45 AM on the day of testing in room 215. Please print out and complete the following registration form. Submit completed forms to Dr. Cormier in the Main Office.

2016 - 2017 Courses

Quinsigamond Community College Courses

As part of Bay Path’s Early College High School initiative, we will be offering an opportunity for our students to enroll in COLLEGE CLASSES through Quinsigamond Community College (QCC). The courses fulfill the core requirements that most colleges require for a variety of degree programs. The courses will run from January 10, 2017 to the week of May 4, 2017. They will be held at Bay Path after school, and a late bus will be available. Please note that enrollment is competitive and based on grades, attendance, and discipline records. The fee for each course is $100 and tuition payments are due by January 4, 2017. Tuition is nonrefundable. Also, students are responsible for any textbook purchases that are required by QCC professors.

Registration Process

Students must apply here AND complete a Registration Form in order to apply to take one of the courses. Students’ grades, attendance records, and discipline profiles will be considered.

Students who are interested in enrolling in more than one course must complete the registration process for each course. Listen for announcements and/or see Dr. Cormier for more information or to find out if your application has been approved.

Aviation Course

Exploring the Fundamentals of Aviation Science is an after-school course offered to Bay Path students through the school's partnership with AeroVenture Institute. At the completion of the AeroVenture aviation course, students will earn TWO college credits from Adams State University.

The course will explore meteorology; engineering and aircraft maintenance; instrumentation; historical and social evolution of flight; communication skills; navigation, geography, and math; weights and balances; and career opportunities in aviation. The course includes one flying lesson for a student and his/her parent/guardian through AeroVenture Institute. Flights will take off from Southbridge Airport, and families will schedule individual appointments for these flights directly with AeroVenture.
